Privacy Statement

We see it as our responsibility to protect the privacy of our clients, partners and website visitors and to treat this personal information as confidential. This privacy policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it and how we use it to improve our services.

This privacy statement applies to all the services delivered by Corvers Procurement Services BV (hereafter: Corvers). Corvers will endeavour to comply at any time with the applicable Data Protection legislation.

The use of collected data

Why we process contact details

In a number of cases we ask clients and partners to provide personal data, such as personal name, organization and an email address and / or telephone number. This data is used to provide the requested services.

For example, we use the above mentioned personal data for the following reasons: to reply to requests for information; upon request, to add it to the email file for our regular newsfeeds; to communicate in relation to an assignment or to send an invoice based on the services provided. In such cases, the personal data is necessary to be able to provide the requested services. The processing of the data is necessary in some cases for the implementation of an agreement of which the person involved is part of, or to take measures at the request of the person involved prior to the conclusion of an agreement.

Newsfeeds and newsletter

We regularly inform customers and potential interested parties about planned training courses, activities and possible offers with regard to our services, in accordance with the applicable regulations or because explicit permission has been given for this. We can do this by telephone, e-mail, newsletters or direct personal contact. Obviously each of the addressees always has the right to indicate that s/he no longer appreciates this and we will unsubscribe him/her from our mailing lists.

Use of the contact form on our website

We only use the details of a completed contact form for the purpose for which this form was completed on our website, for example a request for information about our services. Only the data that is entered will be saved. Upon explicit request in the contact form, we will add the contact data to our mail file for our newsletter (Procurement Letter) and / or newsfeeds mailings.

Cookies or similar techniques that we use

Our website uses “cookies” (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. We collect this data to gain a better insight into how visitors use our website, so that we can tailor our services accordingly. This data has been anonymized.

The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website can be transferred to Corvers’ own secure servers or those of our website administrator or hosting party. The respective personal data will be treated confidentially and will not be sold or shared with other parties. The use of Google Analytics on our site is set up in such a way that data is made anonymous. We can therefore not trace any website visit to an IP address.

Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, it is possible that some functions and services on our and other websites will not function correctly if cookies are disabled in your browser.

Social media buttons and channels

The social media buttons on our website only contain a link to the relevant social media platforms and do not contain any (third-party) cookies. The moment website visitors actively register for our social media channel via these social media platforms, they thereby give permission to receive information via the relevant platform.

How we protect personal data

We take the protection of personal data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.

All data described in this privacy statement is stored on Corvers’ own secure servers (which are located within Europe) or those of our website administrator or hosting party with whom we have a processing agreement. The data is treated confidentially and is not sold or shared with other parties. In some cases the information can be shared internally. Our employees only get access to the information if this is necessary to complete their daily tasks. Our employees are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.

If you feel that your data is not properly protected or there are indications of abuse, please contact us via the contact details below.

How we store personal data

We may save e-mails or other messages (such as an online contact form). We also keep contact details in the context of participation in training courses.

The retention period of the personal data depends on the nature of the information and the purposes of the processing:

  • Insofar as personal data is related to the storage obligation in relation to tax statements: 7 years;
  • For job applications: 4 weeks after completion of the relevant application procedure, unless permission has been requested and obtained to keep the data longer in our database for possible future vacancies;
  • For sending requested information and / or issuing quotes and / or executing orders: data will remain in our system unless the person / party concerned has indicated that they have objections to this;
  • For sending our newsletter / info-mailings: data remains in the file as long as the person concerned does not unsubscribe.

View, modify or delete data

We offer all persons and parties whose data we have registered the possibility to view, change or delete the personal information that has been provided to us at that time.

Edit / unsubscribe newsletter or communication

At the bottom of every mailing we include the option to unsubscribe from the mailings. If a person has indicated that s/he no longer wishes to receive mailings, we will remove his/her email address from our mail file within 2 weeks.

Request for inspection, removal or modification

To modify personal data or have data removed from our files, the person can contact us. (See the contact details below). To be sure that a request for inspection has actually been made by the data holder, we may ask for a copy of the proof of identity with the request.

To protect his/her privacy, the person may blur/block his/her passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number and the Citizen Service Number (BSN) in this copy. We will respond to each request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

We would like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national data protection authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This is possible through the following link.

Management of this Privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy policy. Changed versions are published on our website. At the top of this policy you will find the reference to the version.
